Traffic snarls were reported in various parts of the city especially on the Western Express Highway (WEH) and the Bandra Worli Sea Link during the morning rush hour on Monday.

Commuters travelling on the WEH faced heavy traffic from Kandivli. The backlog of vehicles soon reached Borivli. Even as the Thakur Complex Flyover is opened for motorists after repairs on Monday morning, there still was a slow moving traffic reported along the route.

Arterial roads near the Thakur Complex flyover were also affected because of the heavy flow of vehicles. The flyover underwent repairs over the weekend but heavy vehicles are still barred from using the flyover till July 4.

While Malad had a smooth traffic flow, motorists were again stuck near Oberoi mall --- the perennially chaotic route for morning and evening rush-hour traffic.

The stretch remained slow beyond Khar, officials said.

Motorists also complained of traffic on the Bandra Worli Sea Link. Eastern Express Highway had similar slow moving pace of vehicles and so was Dadar TT flyover. Congestion was reported from Sion to Kalanagar junction and in BKC.
