The casualty medical officer of KEM Hospital, who was arrested on charges of molestation, has been told to go on leave.
“Dr Dhiraj Dongre has been sent on forced leave and a departmental inquiry will be conducted,” said Additional Municipal Commissioner Manisha Mhaiskar. Dongre (32) was arrested on Saturday night and released a day later.
“A three-member committee comprising KEM Hospital’s acting dean, deputy dean and head of Psychiatry Department will conduct the inquiry,” said Mhaiskar.
She added that the report would be submitted to her in a week.
