Oshiwara police have arrested a domestic help from Kolkata for allegedly stealing valuables worth Rs 1 lakh from the residence of a Lokhandwala-based family.
The accused, Shobha Sen (40) was arrested from Kolkata and brought to Mumbai on Saturday.
“We have booked Sen for theft. She had stolen a laptop, a Motorola mobile phone, two designer saris, expensive toys and Rs 11, 000 cash,” said police inspector Dattatreya Sankhe of Oshiwara police station.

“He had gone to Raipur on a business trip on September 9, leaving his wife, daughter and Sen at home.”
The next day, Agrawal’s wife, a sari designer, woke up and found Sen missing from the house. She then called up her husband, who suggested to look for missing items in the house,” added Sankhe.
After Agrawal returned, the couple lodged a complaint with the Oshiwara police.
The Agrawals’ handed a copy of Sen’s voter identity card and closed circuit television camera footage of her fleeing from the complex to the police.
The police sent a team to Kolkata to arrest her.
Agrawal’s father, who is based in Kolkata, helped the police track Sen.
“He helped us find Sen’s address at Debbahar road in Bangaon, about three hours away from Kolkata,” said an officer.
The police arrested Sen October 30 and brought her to Mumbai the next day. She is currently in police custody.
