Fire breaks out in Kalyan-bound train

Smoke bellowed from the motor coach of the Kalyan-bound fast local train after a fire allegedly broke out between Thakurli and Kalyan stations on Wednesday evening. No one was injured in the incident. The exact reason for the fire is not known yet. This resulted in locals being delayed for more than an hour.

Smoke bellowed from the motor coach of the Kalyan-bound fast local train after a fire allegedly broke out between Thakurli and Kalyan stations on Wednesday evening. No one was injured in the incident. The exact reason for the fire is not known yet. This resulted in locals being delayed for more than an hour.

The motorman of the local from Dadar noticed the smoke and halted the train.

He informed the control room and the Kalyan station master, who sent a team to fight the fire. However, the fire brigade had to be called in and it took nearly 45 minutes to douse the fire.
