The Kalwa police have arrested three women and a man posing as a constable in a blackmailing case. The four had allegedly robbed a dance bar patron of Rs 12 lakh and then started to make demands for another Rs 10 lakh.

PI Prakash Nilewad of Kalwa police station said, Tulsiram Saini, 35, lodged a complaint of extortion against Nirmala Vijay Singh, 29, Anjali Vijay Singh, 32, Sarla Maneshwar Singh, 34, and Sanjay Bhujbal, 36.

The story began two years ago when Saini used to visit Jaiesh Dance Bar in Thane, where he used to squander money on bar girl Nirmala. Nirmala noted this and started getting close to Saini, the police said. Soon, Nirmala started taking large amounts of money from him.

Over two years, Nirmala, her sisters Anjali and Sarla and Bhujbal took Rs 12 lakh from the Saini. A month ago, when Saini refused to give them any more money, they kidnapped him and kept him confined for three days at a secluded place and demanded Rs 10 lakh. They released him only after he promised to make arrangements for the money.

However, he went straight to the police. During investigation it was proved that Nirmala Anjali, Sarla and Bhujbal were blackmailing Saini. Bhujbal who had introduced himself as a constable, was arrested earlier.
