According to the Pant Nagar police, the motive behind the murder could be robbery as they found some jewellery lying near the victim’s body.

“Daksha was alone at her fourth floor residence in Shri Krishna Ashish building at Garodia Nagar from 10am after her husband left for work,” said Suresh Nirmal, senior inspector, Pant Nagar police station.

Satish, who owns a dairy business, returned home around 7.30pm and found his wife’s body in their bedroom, Nirmal said.

Satish immediately informed his neighbours, who then took Daksha to the Rajawadi hospital where she was declared dead.

The police said none of the neighbours heard the woman scream or cry out for help. This comes exactly four months after a 51-year-old woman had been stabbed to death in Pant Nagar.
