The Mafatlal family dispute got murkier on Monday as Sheetal Mafatlal filed a complaint against members of the Mafatlal family claiming they had posted security guards outside her room who were tracking her every move. Sheetal who approached the Gamdevi police on Sunday, alleged that her husband Atulya and stepdaughter Marushka had posted security guards outside her room claiming they were for Marushka’s protection.

“Marushka leaves home without this ‘security cover’. The guards have been standing guard over Sheetal and watching her round the clock. She is being harassed,” said Zulfi Memon, Sheetal’s advocate.

When contacted, Marushka said, “My father thought it would be a good idea to have female security guards posted outside my room considering I am the only female in that wing of our house with a lot of male staff. Sheetal’s room just happens to be in the area.”

Last week Atulya’s mother Madhuri and brother Ajay had moved the sessions court seeking anticipatory bail following a spate of domestic violence complaints lodged by Sheetal.
