The Bombay high court on Thursday gave the go-ahead to the Maharashtra anti-corruption bureau (ACB) to register an FIR against Congress leader Kripashankar Singh and his wife for allegedly holding assets disproportionate to their known sources of income. “Do not wait for our orders [to probe into the case] considering the matter is sub judice,” the court told advocate general Ravi Kadam.

The court was hearing a PIL, which claimed that Singh, chief of the Mumbai Regional Congress Committee, and his family have amassed property worth Rs250 crore using his political clout.
