The manager of HDFC Bank, Malad, Pushkar Mangalam (35) was found hanging from the ceiling of his home at Charkop on Wednesday night.

He was alone since his wife and children were in Delhi.

The police found his body at his flat at New Bhoomi Park after his neighbours called them suspecting a problem.

The neighbours said Mangalam visited all of them on Tuesday and distributed sweets. He had told them that he was happy because some work he was waiting for had come through. On Wednesday, when the neighbours did not see any movement in his flat all day, they suspected something was wrong and called the police.

The police opened the door and found him hanging. He was rushed to Bhagwati Hospital but declared dead.

“No suicide note was found,” a police officer from Charkop police station said.
