Summer Fun, a series of workshops organised in a first-of-its-kind initiative by Hindustan Times for school children, featured painting and aeromodelling workshops on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
The painting workshop, conducted by KidzArt, comprised charcoal and canvas painting activities for children above seven years of age. Around 35 children participated in this workshop, which was held in Juhu on Saturday.
The aeromodelling workshop was organised by Supersonic Aeromodelling, on Sunday. Close to 35 children participated in this activity held at Marine Drive for children above the age of nine.
The aim of Summer Fun is to engage kids in activities they enjoy. HT and its associates have made Summer Fun an event where children can find alternative ways to spend their holidays.
The final set of workshops will be held on May 10. One of these will be a craft workshop for children of Navi Mumbai by Hobby Ideas, of which two sessions have already been conducted on May 3 at Malad and Bhandup. The other workshop, 'Fun with Mangoes', by Godrej Nature's Basket, will introduce children to the art of cooking.
