‘Human intelligence more crucial than CCTVs’

“Human intelligence is more crucial than CCTV cameras in most of the cases that are cracked by the police,” said Mumbai police commissioner Arup Patnaik, while conducting a meeting with Ganesh devotees, including presidents of several mandals.

“Human intelligence is more crucial than CCTV cameras in most of the cases that are cracked by the police,” said Mumbai police commissioner Arup Patnaik, while conducting a meeting with Ganesh devotees, including presidents of several mandals. Patnaik assured them that no untoward incident would occur during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival, starting from September 1.

The event was attended by veteran actors such as actors Jeetendra and Nana Patekar, singer Suresh Wadkar, Andheri west legislator, Ashok Jadhav and vice-president, BMC coordination committee for Ganesh Mandals, Naresh Dahigaonkar.

The event that was organised by western region additional commissioner, Vishwas Nangre Patil, on Saturday, at Bhaidas hall in Vile Parle (West).

Patnaik along with joint commissioner of police (Law and Order), Rajnish Seth, distributed books with guidelines urging the attendees to help the police maintain peace in the city during the festive season.
