The state will launch an inquiry into the transport business run by the Konduskar family who were recently in news for the alleged illegal trading of psychotropic drugs.

This was announced by Satej Patil, state minister for home on Monday, after the demand by members of the Legislative Council. “We will inquire with the transport wing and take action against any official if found guilty,” said Patil.

Nationalist Congress Party member Kiran Pawaskar said the state should inquire whether Kumud Drugs Pvt Ltd used the services of Konduskar Travels. “Konduskar Travels has a vast network of transport businesses across the state. We should see if any drugs have been exported using this network,” said Pawaskar.
