An Israeli woman was on Friday arrested from Mumbai international airport for allegedly possessing live cartridges, police said.
The accused, identified as Nurat T (23) was stopped for checking, when the security officials at the airport found her with live cartridges. They later then handed her over to Mumbai police and was then arrested, deputy police commissioner Satyanarayan Choudhary told PTI.
However, he did not reveal the exact number of cartridges recovered from her.
According to police sources, the woman was on a tour of India with her friends. She was to going to board Mumbai-Nepal flight.
