The anxiety surrounding the results of two crucial exams — state board Class 12 (HSC) and CBSE Class 10 — will be put to rest on Wednesday, when the results for both will be announced.
While the CBSE results will be declared at noon on its official websites — cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in — HSC students will be able to view their results at 1pm on four websites, including mahresult.nic.in and hscresult.mkcl.org.
Around 17 lakh students appeared for the HSC exam held in February-March this year, while more than 10 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 CBSE examinations.
The CBSE results have been delayed this year, with many rumours about the final result day, making students nervous.
On the contrary, HSC results, speculated to be announced on May 30, will be available sooner than expected, kick-starting the admission process in degree colleges.
The state board office will distribute the individual mark-sheets to the affiliated schools or colleges on June 4.
Students wishing to re-evaluate their marks will have to fill in and submit the forms before June 15, the board office announced.
According to academicians, with Class 12 CBSE students in Maharashtra not performing as well as their counterparts in Delhi or ICSE board students, HSC results will be crucial in deciding the cut off scores for popular undergraduate courses.
