Anxious SSC students could get their results sooner then expected. The education department is likely to declare the SSC results on June 13 this year and make the results available online the same day.

With this, the online admission process for junior colleges can be kicked off immediately and completed on time.

Last year, the education department faced flak for delayed junior college admissions. The results had been declared on June 17, and it took the department 10 days to issue marksheets and 52 days to complete the entire admissions process, leading to delay in coursework.

An expert committee was then formed to streamline the admission process. Among its recommendations was one which stated that the SSC results be declared on time and uploaded online the same day.

Speaking to the Hindustan Times, state education department minister Rajendra Darda said: "We are likely to give out the results on June 13 and our department is also expected to give the results in the online format the same day. We have put a timeline of three weeks for the entire procedure."

The department has also reportedly fixed technical issues with regard to the selection of bi-focal subjects and low server capacities, which affected the admission procedure last year.

For online admissions, students who select colleges where cut-offs are out of their range, will be alerted. They will also get to see live updates of admissions granted and declined.
