Actor Aamir Khan’s wife Kiran Rao on Saturday approached the police to register a complaint against an imposter who has created an account in her name on a popular social networking site.

Actor Aamir Khan’s wife Kiran Rao on Saturday approached the police to register a complaint against an imposter who has created an account in her name on a popular social networking site.

According to police sources, an unidentified person has created a Facebook account impersonating as the actor’s wife.

“We have registered a case against the unidentified person under relevant sections on the Information Technology Act. We are investigating to find out who the imposter is,” said a police source, privy to the ongoing investigation.

Mumbai police are contemplating blocking the account by approaching the authorities of the social networking site.
