Citizens who suspect high radiation levels from mobile phone towers in the vicinity of their homes can lodge complaints with the Telecom Enforcement, Resource and Monitoring (TERM) Cells, said Union minister of state for communications and IT Milind Deora on Friday.

Across the country, there are 34 TERM cells, including one in Mumbai.

“TERM cells are authorised to monitor radiation levels. They conduct random checks to ensure that radiations are within permissible limits,” said Deora. HT had on Friday reported that of the 3,705 mobile phone towers across the city that can jeopardise your health and life, 1,830 — that’s roughly half of them — are illegal, as per a survey conducted by the civic body.
