Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, on Monday, met Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray at his Bandra residence.

The meeting is significant as on Sunday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had inducted Gujarat chief minister into the parliamentary board, which is the highest decision-making body of the party.

According to Sena MP Sanjay Raut, the two had an hour-long meeting at Matoshree, the Thackeray residence. “Both the leaders had a discussion on the current political scenario in Delhi,” said Raut.

According to sources, Chouhan, one of the low-profile chief ministers, has, in recent times been uneasy with the importance given to Modi. “Chouhan is busy building bridges with all the allies,” said a BJP leader, who did not wish to be identified.
