Mahim chawl catches fire

A fire broke out at in Girgaonkarwadi, a chawl in Mahim (West) at 6.30 pm on Sunday. There were no casualties or injuries. It was brought under control within two hours.
A major fire broke out at a residential chawl on Sunday evening in suburban Mahim, fire brigade officials said.
"A major fire broke out at a residential chawl on Shitladevi Temple Road in Mahim at around 7.30 pm. Eight fire engines and five water tankers have been rushed to the spot," fire brigade officials said.

There were no causalities reported so far, they said, adding that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
