The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), on Sunday, said that government departments were restructuring some important files, which had gone missing, in order to take forward the probe into the alleged scam in the Adarsh housing society in Mumbai.

The CBI spokesperson clarified that no case has been registered in the incident of missing files reported on Saturday, saying “further investigation (in the case) is continuing”.

The agency officials had on Saturday said that some more files pertaining to the housing society were missing from the environment ministry. Last year, some files pertaining to the society went missing from the Maharashtra secretriat. Three UDD officials were arrested in the case.

Earlier, even environment minister Jairam Ramesh had said that his ministry was reconstructing all the documents needed by the CBI in the probe.
