Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) will announce its first list of candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly elections on Monday.
MNS leader Satish Pradhan told reporters that the party was in the process of giving finishing touches to the list and would release it on Monday.
Sources said MNS, which had contested 12 seats in the recent Lok Sabha elections, plans to contest over 100-120 assembly seats.
Meanwhile, Waman Mhatre, Shiv Sena's Badlapur city unit chief, joined the MNS along with about 200 of his supporters in the presence of Thackeray at his residence "Krishnakunj" in central Mumbai.
Mhatre said the local Shiv Sena unit was angry that Murbad assembly seat was given to the BJP in the seat sharing agreement.
Some officebearers of Shiv Sena's Bhiwandi unit also joined the MNS.
