A small time actor cum model Mallika Rajput who acted in a film starring Rahul Roy, registered a non-cognizable complaint against the producers of the film for allegedly displaying morphed and modified obscene photographs of her in the promotional posters of the film without her permission.

Following Rajput’s application on Saturday, the DN Nagar police registered a non-cognizable complaint (NC) against the producers of the film, ‘Crime Partner’ that was released last Friday.

“We have registered an NC against Anjana Sharma, Neha Sharma, Kapil Sharma and K Ramesh, the producers of the film for printing defamatory material,” said Senior Inspector, M.D. Awahad of the DN Nagar police station.

Mallika, who hails from Lucknow, said she signed the film on July 17, 2006. The film was completed in 2007 and she claimed that since then, she was not contacted by any of the producers.

“Once the film was completed none of the producers got in touch with me, be it for the promotion, publicity and editing. They have not cleared my payment as per contract,” Mallika said.

Rajput alleged in her complaint the producers took a few portfolio photographs of her in different attires out of which one was in bikini and others were topless.

“After I saw the topless picture I told them not to use it as I was not comfortable, to which the producers convinced me it could not be used as the censor board would object to it,” she said.

When contacted, Kapil Sharma, the production designer of the film said, “Her account has been cleared. It is a publicity stunt. We have used the photographs that she gave to the production company. It was not morphed but for the purpose of publicity, it was presented in a different way,” Sharma said.
