A week after the blaze at Kalbadevi killed three officials of the fire brigade department, another fire erupted at an Andheri bungalow on Saturday morning.
The fire at the recording studio at Veera Desai Road, Andheri (West), which was reported around 11.30am, was brought under control after three hours.
The structure was a ground plus one structure with an additional mezzanine floor. The fire started in the electrical duct of the studio on the top mezzanine floor and spread through all the electrical wires and recording equipment, said fire officials.
The officials used four fire engines, four water tankers and nine breathing apparatus to douse the blaze.
“The smoke was not detected initially. As the studio was vacant at the time of the incident, no one was injured,” said one of the fire department officials present at the spot.
