The RCF police station registered a case against a woman, 36, on Wednesday for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy, who is her son’s friend.

According to the complaint, the boy was sexually assaulted for over two months by the woman, who had forced him into a physical relationship. The boy narrated the ordeal to his father and uncle, following which they decided to approach the police.

“We have registered a case. The statement of the teenager has been recorded,” Sangramsinh Nishandar, deputy commissioner of police, Zone 6, said.

The police said she initially touched him inappropriately when he went to their house in Vashi naka and later started to force him into a physical relationship. When the teenager’s parents found changes in his behaviour, they prodded him and the entire story came to light.

The boy recently submitted a written complaint to the police, following which they conducted investigations and a case was filed.

According to the allegations, the woman used to repeatedly call the boy, forcing him to start a relationship with her. “The complainant said the woman threatened him and called him to her house and to a rented place in Colaba, where she sexually assaulted him,” said Dilip Yadav, senior inspector, RCF police station.

The police are yet to make an arrest and are in the process of ascertaining the exact sequence of events.

The woman has been booked under sections 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation), 4 (penetrative sexual assault), 8 (sexual assault) and 12 (sexual harassment) of the Protection of Children against Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
