The DN Nagar police said there were several nail marks on Bidushi Dash-Barde neck, accentuating the possibility that she could have been murdered.
“We have sent her husband’s nail samples to the forensic science laboratory for an analysis to see if there is presence of any alien DNA on him,” said an officer.
The police said forensic experts have opined that Bidushi was likely to have been murdered, although the conclusive report is still pending. The police have sent Bidushi’s stomach wash for a forensic analysis to see if she had consumed any poisonous substance.
An advertising agency agent had been messaging Bidushi for several days for returning Rs25,000 she had loaned from him. “The agent has been ruled out as a suspect because he messaged Bidushi asking for the money on Tuesday as well,” the officer said.
The police said they had gone through Bidushi’s email accounts, social networking profiles and her cellphones, but hadn’t found anything suspicious.
“We are yet to ascertain the claim of a domestic help, Ambubai Lavte, that she had seen a man inside Bidushi’s apartment on Monday morning,” said another officer.
