A Mumbai traffic police constable has alleged that Navi Mumbai police commissioner Ahmad Javed had assaulted and threatened him outside a multiplex at Nariman Point on April 3.
Rajkumar Vhatkar, deputy commissioner of police (operations), on Friday, sought a detailed report from Brijeshkumar Singh, addl commissioner, traffic police.
“I did not assault or threaten him. The official car was obstructing the way and I only told him loudly that I am also from the police department,” Javed said.
Home minister RR Patil summoned Javed on Friday.
