Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), which is celebrating its 11th anniversary this week, has organised a two-day national convention in Patna.

Senior leader Govindrao Adik said that the extended working committee has been scheduled on June 19 followed by the open session the next day. Assembly elections in Bihar are slated later this year.

Adik said the party is yet to decide on its alliance strategy for Bihar polls. Meanwhile, Maharashtra unit General Secretary Gurunath Kulkarni said the party will celebrate its anniversary by organising various programmes for one week all over the state taking up issues concerning women, children, workers, farmers, minorities and deprived sections of the society. He said the focus will also be on national unity and issues like climate change.
