The bodies of two girls were found in Kurla (E) on February 9 and March 7. “It’s a priority case for us,” said senior police inspector Prakash Kale.

Neighbouring police stations, V B Nagar and Ghatkopar, are also tracing the accused and an award of Rs 5 lakh has been announced to nab him.

More than 600 people have been questioned, DNA tests conducted on 100 and history sheeters with similar case records questioned. Forensic test of the victims’ clothes in both cases revealed that the accused was the same.
