Highlight Story

Candidates appearing for the National Eligibility Test (NET) from June this year, will have to answer only objective-type questions in all three papers, said a new notification from the University Grants Commission. The earlier pattern comprised two objective and one subjective-type paper.

The NET is the eligibility criterion for candidates who wish to take up lectureship positions in universities or colleges across the country, and is conducted twice a year.

The new system is likely to speed up the assessment and results process.
