The police suspect that the three accused had been keeping a close watch at Jeroo’s Baharestan Bungalow in Juhu over the past few days.

The first thing they did after breaking into the house by smashing open the kitchen windows was to lock the two rooms where the servants were. They then proceeded to the bedroom in which the cupboard containing the valuables was kept.

The three men had entered the house around 3am and stole cash and semi-precious jewellery worth around Rs 2 lakh. The men then entered Jeroo’s room on the first floor and threatened her with a knife.
