Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray on Friday said that not only the potholes issue, a Criminal Investigation Department probe should be conducted into all scams in the country. He was addressing party workers at a function in Pimpri. Sena is the ruling party in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), which is facing harsh criticism over the pathetic condition of city roads.
“Not only potholes and the nullah-cleaning work by the civic body, all the scams in the country should also be probed,” said Thackeray. Thackeray’s statement were in reaction to an announcement by Bhaskar Jadhav, minister of state for the urban development department, in the Assembly, about a CID probe into the nullah-cleaning work in Mumbai.
