A day after a part of a crane collapsed on a building in Currey Road, injuring six, the operator of the crane on Wednesday was booked for negligence.
The Kalachowkie police have registered a case against the crane operator, who was working at the construction site at Avighna Park, near the Curry Road railway station.
"No arrests have been made as the operator has not been identified yet. We have asked developers for his details," said an officer from the Kalachowkie police station.
"We are on the lookout for the crane operator. He will be arrested on charges of negligence," said senior inspector SS Jain.
At around 4pm on Tuesday, a part of the crane had fallen on a three-storey building, New Haji chawl, damaging the third floor.
Six residents were injured. They were rushed to KEM Hospital, and discharged on Wednesday.
