The Mumbai police on Monday filed a supplementary charge sheet against 21 members of terror outfit Indian Mujahideen (IM), accused of carrying out blasts in several cities across the country since 2006.
The crime branch of Mumbai police submitted a 2300-page additional charge sheet before special MCOCA Judge R G Avachat.
"The supplementary charge sheet includes forensic and chemical analysis reports and additional telephonic conversations between the accused," special public prosecutor Raja Thakare told PTI.
The crime branch had in February last year filed its charge sheet against the 21 arrested persons accusing them of sending emails to various media organisations minutes before the serial blasts in Delhi and Bangalore intimating them about the attacks.
According to the charge sheet, the group was also involved in carrying out blasts in other cities like Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Surat.
Six persons including Riyaz Bhatkal, the alleged founder of IM, were shown as wanted accused.
The accused apart from MCOCA have also been charged under various sections of Indian Penal Code including waging war against the country, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, Explosives Act, Arms Act, and Information Technology Act.
