AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi will undertake a three day tour of Maharashtra from January 27 to take stock of the Youth Congress's membership drive in the state.
The Congress leader will visit Gadchiroli, Buldhana and Parbhani districts on January 27.
He would be arriving at Nagpur airport and fly to Gadchiroli in a chhopper at 10 am to meet tribals at the 'Adiwasi Melawa' in Z P ground opposite SP office in the town from where he will proceed to Buldhana to interact with youth there, police said.
Next day, he will travel to Osmanabad, Dhule, Shirdi and Aurangabad. On January 29, he will visit Palghar, Satara and Raigad districts.
MPCC general secretary Ganesh Patil said Gandhi will interact with Youth Congress activists and newly enrolled members during his visit. In Shirdi, the Youth Congress convention will comprise interaction with women whereas in other places, the conventions will be for SC/ST/OBCs, minorities.
Rahul Gnadhi will attend a meeting of MPs, MLAs, Block presidents in Aurangabad where chief minister Prithviraj Chavan will also be present.
"He is slated to address the media on January 29 in Aurangabad before heading to Palghar, Raigad and Satara," he added.
This will be Gandhi's second visit to Vidarbha region within six months. Earlier, he had visited Dr Punjabrao Deshmukh Agriculture University in Akola and addressed agriculture students in a closed door meet.
