The Social service branch (SSB) arrested 52-year-old Babulal Verma, assistant operational divisional manager of the western railways, for allegedly operating a sex ring from his official residence in Marine Line.

The racket was busted on Saturday night.

Feroze Patel, assistant commissioner of police, SSB said the phone numbers of 150-odd call girls were stored on Verma's phone and that the ring has been in operation for two-and-half-years with Verma's residence used as command centre.

Rs 1.09 lakh was seized from the residence during the raid.
