The two massive Thac-keray rallies in the city, held two days before the crucial Brihan-mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) polls, played out to very different tunes on Monday.
While Maharashtra Navnir-man Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray attacked the Shiv Sena, his uncle and Sena supremo Bal Thackeray ignored Raj and hit out at the Congress-NCP alliance.
The senior Thackeray also asked loyalists to ignore the allegations made against him and the party. “Don’t look at me with suspicion. Your Sena supremo will never do these things,” he said at the MMRDA grounds, even as in Worli, Raj listed out the “scams” in the civic body and exhorted citizens to not vote for a party that has been fooling them for 16 years.
