“A few weeks ago, Agnihotri complained of chest pain, but her son was out for a film shoot. And she was in a dispute with her husband at that time, so she called up the police to take her to the hospital. Women police constables then escorted her to the hospital,” said a police officer from Worli police station.

According to the police, after admitting Agnihotri to the hospital, they called up her son and husband. “The husband reached the hospital and their son joined them later. Her husband stayed with her on all the three days she was admitted,” said the officer.

The police said after Agnihotri was discharged, she went to the police station and took back both the complaints. Senior inspector of police, Worli, Vinay Kulkarni, confirmed the incident. “We will now file a report in the case regarding the recent development,” he said.

According to the police, the couple had made a partition in their residence during the dispute. Deputy commissioner of police S Jaykumar said the couple had reached an out-of-court settlement.

Following a written complaint of domestic violence by Agnihotri in March, the Worli police had registered a case against her husband. The police said the actor had given an application to the police alleging her husband was torturing and assaulting her. In April, she registered another complaint alleging her husband had threatened her with a knife.
