A 21-year-old domestic help allegedly committed suicide by jumping out of the window of his employers’ home on the tenth floor of Windmere building in Oshiwara.

He was allegedly refused permission to go to his village in Bihar.

According to the Oshiwara police, the incident took place around 2.30 pm on Sunday.

The deceased, identified as Arun Mukhi (21), wanted permission from his employers to visit his village to look for a prospective bride.

“On Sunday Mukhi asked his employers whether he could leave for his village but the family asked him to go some other day as they had invited guests,” said a police official from Oshiwara police station.

“This frustrated Mukhi who jumped out the window of the residence of his employers,” he added.

On June 3, a 20-year-old domestic help’s body was found in the compound of the Shimla House building at Napeansea Road.

The man had fallen from the sixth floor of the building while he was hanging clothes to dry on the window.

Krishan Mukhukia had been working at businessman Radhesham Keria’s house for five months.
