Since the weekend, B.Com students in the city have been confused everyday with rumours about the final year results being declared.

A simple Google search on the subject will throw up various websites confirming that the results have been declared.

But the University of Mumbai said that they have not put up any results on their website.

“The results will be out in about two weeks. The assessments are done and the results are in their last leg. These are rumours and students should ignore them,” said Vilas Shinde, Controller of Examinations.

The TYB.Com results are already delayed by more than a month because teachers were not going assessments.

The exam ended on April 27 and university guidelines say that results should be declared within 30 to 45 days.

The B.Com exams are the university’s largest exams with over 80,000 students appearing for it.

Students, meanwhile, are fretting. “We really slogged for the last few months for this exam. First, they suddenly postponed the first paper, two days before the exam. Then the results are delayed, and then these rumours. It is not fair to us,” said Abhay Jain, a third year student.
