Rule takers to rule makers, says Shashi Tharoor at Mood Indigo

The third day of the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay’s (IIT-B) Mood Indigo festival saw some of the most celebrated opinion makers sharing their ideas with the student community.

Social activist Medha Patkar, expressed her views on the topic of ‘Globalisation: Threat or Opportunity’. She highlighted matters concerning the latest social reforms and how it impacts the world.

Meanwhile former Union minister Shashi Tharoor spoke about India’s role on a global stage before a large gathering of students. Speaking on the topic ‘India in today’s networking world’, he said, “So far, we have been a rule taker, now is time for us to be a rule maker.”

Comedian Ahsaan Qureshi entertained youngsters with his spontaneous, witty poetry and comical monologue about Indian culture and current affairs.
