The special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court on Friday, directed that Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, a key accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, be brought to Mumbai and be examined at JJ hospital for breast tumour.

She had moved an application in the court claiming that she required immediate medical treatment for lumps on her right breast.

“The court has said that the Sadhvi can be brought either by road in an ambulance or by train,” said her lawyer Ganesh Sovani.

She has been lodged at the Nashik central prison after the special court dropped all MCOCA charges from the case in July 2009.
