Hailing the death penalty awarded to Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab, K Unnikrishnan, father of NSG commando Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was killed in the operation during the Mumbai terror attacks, said he did not want Kasab's hanging to be delayed.

"I don't want any delay in hanging Kasab. I want fast-track hanging of Kasab", he told reporters at his residence here.

Sandeep, conferred the "Ashok Chakra" posthumously in January 2009, was killed when he started chasing the terrorists who had laid siege to the Taj Hotel in Mumbai.

Hailing from Bangalore, Sandeep Unnikrishnan was team commander of the unit deployed at Taj hotel during operation Black Tornado.

Sandeep was responsible for ensuring the safe evacuation of his colleague commando Sunil Yadav before he succumbed to the bullets.
