Failing to whip up issues like protests on Shah Rukh Khan’s My Name is Khan and boycotting Australian players, the Shiv Sena is now focusing on infrastructure projects in the Konkan.

The party announced setting up a trauma centre near Panvel for highway accident victims and also opposed the atomic plant coming up at the Madban village in Konkan.

Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeary said: “The Sena will set up a trauma centre since the government has failed to do so.” Party leader Subhash Desai said: “All the 46 Sena MLAs will fight against the projects in Konkan.”
