Sharad Pawar undergoes med check-up
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief and Union agricultural minister Sharad Pawar was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital for a routine medical check-up.
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief and Union agricultural minister Sharad Pawar was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital for a routine medical check-up.
Sources in the hospital said Pawar was admitted due to blood pressure problems and underwent a medical check-up.
“Sharad Pawar will be discharged after the routine checkups are complete,” said a doctor from the hospital, on condition of anonymity. He was admitted on Sunday. Doctors confirmed he is out of danger and all precautions are being taken during the treatment.
NCP spokesperson said, “He is doing fine and its just a routine checkup. He will be discharged tomorrow [Monday] because doctors have asked him to fast. He will undergo certain checkups in the morning.” He is expected to get discharge from the hospital by 2pm.
Earlier in June, Pawar underwent an hour-long surgery at Breach Candy Hospital for treating a mouth infection.
