GSB Seva Mandal, Sion won prize money of Rs 75,000 for being the safest Ganesh mandal in the city. Fire and Safety Association of India, India’s premier non-profit trade body representing the fire, security and life safety industry in India in association with the Mumbai Police announced the winners of ‘Best Secured Ganpati Mandal 2009’ Award on Sunday.
This award is in recognition of the safety and security measures adopted by the pandals during Ganeshotsav.
This is the award’s second year. Lalbaug Sarvajanik Utsav Mandal of Ganesh Gulli was the first runner-up winning Rs 50,000 and Sahayadri Krida Mandal, Tilak Nagar was the second runner-up, winning Rs 25,000.
