With events such as MI studio, Fooseball, Lit Fest, Kite flying and Global Mela and a new basketball game, the second day of the IIT-Bombay’s Mood Indigo festival remained exciting for students.

For the new basketball event held on Friday, three members from each team had to shoot hoops in half of the basketball ground. “The twist in the rules made the game lot more interesting,” said Rahul Raj, a participant.

The estimated footfall was 22,000 during the day and 8,000 for the late evening prom party and musical event.

The second edition of the Lit Fest was called off as key speaker Ronnie Screwvala, founder chairman, UTV Motion Pictures, failed to turn up. “I was looking forward to the session. He was to discuss the need for growth in the country, even while staying rooted. I am disappointed with the cancellation,” said Rupal Pareikh, a student.

In the second session of Lit Fest, Biju Dominic, co-founder of FinalMile, managed to give students information on application of science to solve behavioural problems.

In a first, the festival featured its own special android application made by students. This application had the schedule of Mood I, Google map showing the location of IIT-B campus and event details along with images and descriptions.

“I have come to the city for the first time. Finding an app on the festival helped me navigate through the campus and enjoy the ongoing events,” said Saurav Hira, from Jabalpur.

At the national debate festival, the Pakistani contingent failed to make it to the finals. The result would be declared on the last day of the festival.
