Union railway minister Suresh Prabhu visited Matoshree, the Thackeray residence, late on Friday. According to sources, he wanted to meet Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray to clear 'misunderstandings between them'.
Prabhu, who was earlier a Sena MP and minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government, joined the BJP after not getting the go-ahead to become a minister from the Sena quota, creating friction between them.
According to Sena sources, he met Uddhav and had some primary discussions on the way ahead for the Shiv Sena and BJP in the state.
Sources say there were no concrete talks between them. "Uddhavji spoke to him, but hasn't given any clear response from his end. He clearly indicated that he was upset with Prabhu," a senior Sena leader said.
