I came to Mumbai in August 2014, and started looking for modelling assignments. I befriended a film and modelling agency professional through his website, and also met a model coordinator.
On April 1, the coordinator called me and said a businessman wanted to cast me in his film. On April 2, he told me the businessman wanted to meet me only for 10 minutes to pay the signing amount of Rs 2 lakh.
At the hotel, I asked the businessman to pay me the amount quickly, but he insisted that we go to his room. When I refused, the businessman went outside the hotel. I then called the agency professional, and asked him to pick me up. When I reached near his scooter, a car stopped in front of us.
A woman and two men got out from the car, and one of them showed me his identity card. They told me they were police officials, and asked us to sit in the car. When we reached the police station, they took us to the second floor of the building. There, other men who were in the car, asked me why I had gone to the hotel.
When I narrated the story, they accused me of prostitution and told me my friend was a pimp. They then asked me to get into a car, with the woman and a policeman. After some time, I was left alone at the chowkie along with one police officer. He came near me and said ‘you are intelligent’ and took me to another room. Here he forcibly kissed and raped me.
They then made me to talk my friend and asked him to arrange for money. The police officer tried to rape me, but stopped as someone knocked the door.
(This is a first person account of a Mumbai model allegedly raped by three policemen)
