After technical glitches delayed the second general merit list, the education department has ensured that the third general merit list will be declared on time on Thursday evening.
“The last list was delayed because of technical reasons and we have resolved those issues. This list will be without any errors and it will be displayed on time,” said a senior official from the education department.
The second general merit list which was declared on August 19 was declared after a five-and-a-half hours delay.
The education department had said that it was because of a technical delay. All the colleges were asked to check that list at 10.30 pm.
Principals, too, are hoping the list is declared on time so that they can display it in their colleges.
“We hope that they send us is the correct list as it is the last list for Class 11 admissions,” said Kavita Rege, principal, Sathaye College at Vile Parle.
“We have stopped analysing any list and just accept the one that they send us.”
The third general merit list will be declared on Thursday at 5 pm. Those students whose names appear in the list can pay their fees on Friday and Saturday between 10 am and 2 pm.
The final number of vacant seats will be declared on August 31.
