The Dahisar police arrested two men on Friday for allegedly attempting to murder a hotelier in a bar and restaurant at Dahisar (East).

Police said Rashmikant Vyas, a 55-year-old hotelier residing in Shanti Park, Mira Road, was attacked by the accused, Udi Gadwali, 26, Manoj Medhe, 24, and an unidentified man in Vyas’ bar and restaurant around 12.15 am.

“The trio took aim at Vyas with a countrymade revolver, but were stopped by the people before they could fire a single shot. After a hue and cry was created in the bar, they tried to flee the spot, but Gadwali and Medhe were arrested at 1.45 am from near Gadwali’s Nalasopara residence,” said an official from Dahisar police station.

The police said that another unidentified accused, who was present at the spot with the other two men, is on the run and will be nabbed soon.
